The emissivity of thermocouple is 0.7 and the convective heat transfer coefficient of the flow over thermocouple is 200 w/m2-oC. (b) Assume a shield is used to reduce the error. If the shield temperature is about 460oC, calculate the error in output temperature. (Problem 9.39 and 9.41on page 335)
