A transmission line connects the output of an amplifier to the base of a 1/4 wave monopole antenna. The amplifier is producing a sine wave at 1 MHz (center of AM radio band). The antenna is radiating an average power of 50 kW. The antenna is 100% efficient at converting electrical power into EM radiation. The transmission line has zero resistance and zero leakage (R and G both zero). The antenna is working at it's resonate frequency. Answer all of the following questions. A. What is the best characteristic impedance for the transmission line, Zo? B. What is the peak voltage I will see along the transmission line? (assuming you are using the best Zo)
C. What is the peak current I will see along the transmission line?
