A miner is trapped in a chamber having 3 doors. The first door opens in a tunnel that takes the miner to safety after 2 hours. The second door opens in a tunnel that returns ours. The third door al chamber after 3 hours. Suppose that the miner always chooses any of the doors with equal probability (he does not remember or mark doors). Let random variable X be the time it takes for the miner to reach outside of the mine safely. Calculate the expected time to reach safety, E[X], and simulate the process to justify your calculated result.
