A pump is used to lift water at ambient temperature from one tank to another at a rate of 08/50 m3/min. If the pipe diameter is 4 in, calculate the power required to run the pump (efficiency 70%). The pipe material is commercial steel and contains 3 standard radius elbows. Assume =1 cP. a) (10) Calculate the Reynolds number and the friction head loss using the Moody chart attached,
b) (15) Using Colebrook equation.
c) (25) Calculate the other losses and the total loss,
d) (10) Calculate the required power.
