1) What is the diameter of Gear E?
2) To which axles would you attach the motor and driven wheels in order to achieve the highest torque?
3) Axle K is supplying rotary motion to a rotary grain mill. A torque of at least 110 ft-lb is required to overcome the static forces of the mixing shaft to start the process. What is the minimum torque needed at Axle A to start the mixing process?
4) Assuming the conditions in question #3, what is the new torque out at Axle P?
5) Gear B breaks. You have the option of replacing Gear B with any of the following 4 gear sizes: 0.5 m, 0.75 m, 1 m, and 1.3 m. Which gear size would you use to maximize the speed of this train, assuming Axle P is the motor/input and Axle A is the output? 0.5m, 0.75m, 1m, 1.3m, or the gear size will not impact the calculation
6) Gear G breaks. You have the option of replacing Gear G with any of the following 4 gear sizes: 0.5 m, 0.75 m, 1 m, and 1.3 m. Which gear size would you use to maximize the torque of this train, assuming Axle P is the motor/input and Axle A is the output?
(The answers are the same options that question 5 has)*
7) Gear E breaks. You have the option of replacing Gear E with any of the following 4 gear sizes: 0.5 m, 0.75 m, 1 m, and 1.3 m. Which gear size would you use to maximize the torque of this train, assuming Axle B is the motor/input and Axle M is the output?
(The answers are the same options as the ones in questions 5 and 6)*
*Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you*
