Maryland has had a long history of flood events, and Baltimore area especially Jones Falls Watershed is no exception. Baltimore area is subject to intense weather conditions from both inland and oceanic storms. As the area urbanized, development expanded and became increasingly prone to flooding damages. Baltimore County and City have since initiated the planning of a new channel to replace the diverted portion of the Creek, and have partnered with you to modify the channel geometry in order to facilitate the design flow of a 100-year storm.
