3.0 mol/s of ammonia gas at 5.0 bar and known temperature T1 is mixed with 2.0 mol/s of ammonia gas at 5.0 bar and known temperature T2. The product gas exits at pressure 5.0 bar but the temperature (Tout) is not known. The process operates with complete mechanical reversibility at steady state with a surrounding temperature of 298K and no moving parts. Assume that Cp is constant at 4.3R and that the ammonia behaves as an ideal gas. (a) Show how you would find Tout. Label knowns and unknowns and state any assumptions,
(b) Upon obtaining values for Ti and T2, you have successfully solved for Tout. But now the process design has been altered so that the gas is 50 mole% ammonia (C,-43R) and 50 mole% air (C,-3.5R). How will this impact Tout will it increase, decrease or stay the same? Justify your answer. Again, assume that heat capacity values are constant and that the gas has ideal behavior

Aloaded platform of total mass 500 kg is supported by a dashpot and by a set of springs of effective stiffness 72 kn/m. it is observed that when the platform is depressed through a distance x = 12.5 cm below its equilibrium position and then released without any initial velocity; it reaches its equilibrium position in the shortest possible time without overshoot. find the position and velocity of the loaded platform 0.10 sec. after its release. if a further load of 400 kg is added to the platform, find, i) the frequency of damped vibrations, and i) the amplitude of vibration after 2 complete oscillations, given that the initial amplitude is 15 cm.
