This is for a Construction Practices class. i just need so much help. I have no idea what I am doing or where to even begin. You must calculate the materials necessary to form both sides of a wall project using Symons forms. The wall forms a square that measures 20'-0" on on the outside face of all 4 sides. The wall is 8" thick, and 12'-0" tall. You should have seen that the inside corners are available in two different sizes, and you will use the 6" x 6" option. The outside face of the wall will be formed using only 2' wide panels. Remember that the edges of the inside and the outside panels must be directly opposite each other in order for the wall ties to be connected. On the inside face of the wall, you must have a 10" wide panel connected to each inside corner ( 8" for the thickness of the wall, 6" for the width of the inside corner, and 10" for the panel add up to 24", which is the width of the first panel on the outside). You will. be using 6' tall panels, so you will need two rows in order to reach the height of 12'-0". Turnbuckles are attached to the top of the forms and are placed 1 per 4 lf of wall. Calculate each wall separately, and not just a total distance for the perimeter. turnbuckles are only needed on the outside of the wall. Scaffold brackets are calculated the same way. Waler clamps are needed at a rate of 1 per 2 lf. Waler clamps are needed on the inside and the outside of the wall. There will be three wales per wall. You must calculate the lengths of the walls inside and out. Remember that for these items that you are estimating using the spacing distances, you must add 1 at the beginning. as stated for the turnbuckles, do not use the perimeter length for the waler clamps or the scaffold brackets. All fractions should be rounded up to the next whole number.
