A voltage VCM is applied to both inputs of a MOS differential amplifier. Assume VDD = VSS = 1.5V, Kn = 4mA/V2 , VT = 0.5V, IREF = 0.4mA, and RD = 2.5 kΩ. Assume that the current source requires a minimum of 0.4V to operate properly. a. Find VGS. b. For VCM = 0V, find VS, ID1, ID2, VD1,and VD2. c. Repeat (b) for VCM = +1 V. d. Repeat (b) for VCM = -0.2V. e. What is the highest permitted value of VCM (to keep M1 and M2 in saturation)? f. What is the lowest value allowed for VCM (to satisfy the voltage requirement of the current source)?

Two flowing streams of argon gas are adiabatically mixed to form a single flow/stream. one stream is 1.5 kg/s at 400 kpa and 200 c while the second stream is 2kg/s at 500 kpa and 100 ? . it is stated that the exit state of the mixed single flow of argon gas is 150 c and 300 kpa. assuming there is no work output or input during the mixing process, does this process violate either the first or the second law or both? explain and state all your assumptions.
