Acylinder is filled with a monatomic ideal gas. the initial volume, pressure, and temperature are , p0, and t0, respectively, with outside pressure p0. the cylinder is plugged with a piston of mass 3m and area which is free to move. a ball of putty of mass m is thrown at the piston with speed and sticks to it, causing the piston to adiabatically compress the gas to a minimum volume. find the final volume, temperature, and pressure when the piston reaches maximum compression.
