Asingle phase, 50 kva, 2400/240 v, 60hz, distribution transformer is used as a step down transformer at the load end of a 2400 v feeder whose series impedance is (1.0 +j2.0) ohms. the equivalent series impedance of the transformer is (1.0 +j2.5) ohms referred to the high side. the transformer is delivering rated load at 0.8 power factor leading and at rated secondary voltage. neglecting the transformer exciting current. determine following:

1. the voltage at the transformer primary terminals
2. the voltage at the sending end of the feeder
3. the real and reactive power delivered to the sending end of the feeder

Refrigerant-134a enters the compressor of a refrigerator as superheated vapor at 0.14 mpa and -10°c at a rate of 0.05 ka/s and leaves at 0.8 mpa and 50°c. the refrigerant is cooied in the condenser to 0.72 mpa and 26'c. it is then throttled to 0.15 mpa. sketch the t-s diagram for the system and evaluate: 6) the rate of heat removai from the refrigerated space (kw), it) the power input to the compressor (kw), ii) the isentropic efficiency of the compressor (%), and iv) the cop of the refrigerator.
