Continue holding this button until the little light on the case begins to flash in a white color. This should put it in detection mode which should allow the MacBook to detect the AirPods. Finally, select the AirPods from your MacBook's bluetooth settings and click on the connect button. You should now be connected and ready to use your AirPods.
