In PHP, values of parameters attached to the end of a URL can be accessed by using one of the super global variables called $_GET since the URL parameter is only visible when a GET request is made.

So, for example if a URL has an age parameter at its end, it can be accessed as follows:

$_GET['age']

Assuming that the URL is as follows;

https://www.domain.com?age=67

To access the age parameter we write;

$_GET['age']

This can then be assigned to another variable, printed out to the browser's page or manipulated accordingly. i.e

echo $_GET['age']; This will display 67 on the browser's page

or

$age = $_GET['age'];  This will assign 67 to the $age variable.
