Yes water has 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, with single bonds connecting the 2 hydrogen atoms to the oxygen atom.

Water is so important because it is important for sustain all life- plant life, human life, animal life (especially fish and marine animals). Without water we just can't live! If there wasn't any water, then plants wouldn't be able to grow, and so we would not be able to eat fruits, veggies, or other plant foods. And if plants arent available, animals we need couldn't live, and so basically without water we'd starve. Furthermore, our bodies need water to function- like making blood and other fluids (like saliva and sweat). Our bodies cannot go without water!

Come important properties of water include:
- its attraction to polar molecules: if water didn't have this property, then it would not be able to be a liquid at normal temperatures (which is VITAL for life)

- its high polarity: this allows it to be the great solvent that it is. 

- low density of ice (water's solid form): water, unlike other liquids, is less dense as a solid than as a liquid. This is why ice floats on water instead of sinking.

- can exist in solid,liquid, or gas form on Earth: this is extremely important for us as humans for life, but also for weather (water vapor/clouds as gas form) and keeping lots of earth's water in a place (glaciers as solid ice) which is important to prevent BIG floods
