Bond dissociation energy is used to measure the strength of any bond. It tells how strongly two atoms are bonded together. It is basically the minimum amount of energy that is needed to required to break a chemical bond.

The SI units used to represent bond energy are kilo Joules per mole of bonds (kJ/Mol).
