Just remember when dealing with Newton II (where F=m*a), that F is the net (or resultant) force on the object.

This means, in your case there would have to be no weight acting on the object, no friction and absolutely no other force, only then can you assume that F=120N.

If you have multiple forces acting on a body, ask yourself, how can I replace all of these forces with only 1 force and have the body do exactly the same - this is your resultant force and the one you pop into F=m*a
