BTW this is actually a science quetion. What is the amount of matter in an object compared to the space it takes up. Im confused because i think its mass but i was told that mass is the amount of matter something contains.

Volume simply refers to the space an object takes up. Depending on the physical state of an object, there are a couple ways to measure volume.
