It is difficult to produce charged on nylon rod if it is rubbed between your fingers. Why?​

Though our fingers not very efficient conductors, we still conduct charge pretty well .

We cannot charge a conductor by rubbing.

The reason is that in a metal the charges are free to move inside the material. If we add a charge in one zone of the conducting object, the other charges will automatically re-arrange to neutralize the charge.

So it is difficult to produce charge on nylon rod by rubbing between our fingers
