The water in the pot is still colored blue from the food coloring I used but the water in the plastic dish is clear. After tasting the water from the plastic dish I noticed that the salt taste was gone, it was like drinking water from the tap. The water tastes different because it is not the same water that was put into the pot with salt, it has undergone a chemical reaction because of the heat.
