Write the balanced equation and identify the type of reaction for the experiments. 1. Holding the copper wire in the hottest part of the flame for a few minutes.

2. Placing a shiny iron nail and adding CuSO4 solution so half the nail is covered then leaving it there for 15 mins before removing the nail.

3. Having a small amount of CuSO4.5H2O in a test tube and holding it over a flame.

4. Wait until the test tube from question 3 is cooled and than add 2-3 drops of distilled water.

5. 1. Put 10 drops of CaCl2 solution into a test tube.
2. Put 10 drops of Na2CO3 into another test tube.
3. Pour CaCl2 solution into Na2CO3 test tube.

6. Put a piece of mossy zinc in a test tube and than fill the test tube with HCl (aq) until it covers the mossy zinc.

7. Fill a test tube 1/3 with H202 solution, add a bit of Kl (s) and than test the gas involved bt placing a splint into the test tube.
