Aaron is doing a research paper on camels and was surprised to find out that a camel's hump does not contain water. Aaron knows that the camel's hump has something to do with why camels are well suited for situations where food
and water are scarce.
Knowing what you do about the different types of nutrients, what do you think a camel's hump is actually made of and
why?
fatty tissue, because it is very calorie rich and stored by the body as an emergency source of fuel for the organism
O complex carbohydrates, because they are the best nutrient for long-term energy production
O simple carbohydrates, because they are quickly converted to energy, which is beneficial in an emergency situation
O proteins, because they are needed to repair tissue if the camel's body becomes weakened from hunger
