A chemist in a mine research lab is trying to figure out what reaction to conduct in order to separate the metal silver from a silver nitrate compound (AgNO3). This compound is contained in a silver ore found in one of the mines that are being used for research. The scientist refers back to the metal reactivity list to determine which metal would allow the silver to be released from the silver nitrate. The scientist will have to design a chemical reaction that would show and prove that the silver will be released completely with ease. Pretend you are the scientist in the lab. Use all the materials given in class pertaining chemical reactions and metal reactivity to write a chemical reaction that would allow the silver to be released from the silver nitrate compound. Write your balanced chemical equation in the space below.
