A tsunami is a natural hazard in which high speed water waves displaces a large volume of oceanic water. It mainly results due to geological activities like earthquakes, underwater landslides and underwater volcanic eruptions. After the wave disturbance the displaced water travels in the outward direction from it's site of origin especially in the continental side, causing devastating effects.
