Another conversion that can be made with the unit moles involves substances in the gaseous state. Substances that are a gas at S. T.P. (standard temperature and pressure---which is the only kind we will deal with for now) will have a volume of 22.4L for every 1 mole.

This means that if I have a certain number of moles of gas, then I can determine the volume of that gas. Or if I have a certain number of Liters of the gas, than I can determine the number moles.

Answer the following two questions, handwriting your work, and upload a picture of that work, with your answers boxed.

1) How many moles of Hydrogen gas are present in a sample of 37.6 L?

2) How many liters of Oxygen gas are present in a sample of 0.36 moles?

Bonus: How many molecules of Oxygen would be present in the sample from question #2?
