Two metals, A and B, were placed on the same hot plate.
Metal A had an increase in temperature of 12o C and Metal B increased a total of 18o C.
What happened in the metals, and why was there such a difference in their temperatures?
Group of answer choices
a)The atoms of the metal increased their Potential energy; and the discrepancy is caused by the forming of bonds in the metal.
B)The atoms of the metal decreased their average kinetic energy; and the discrepancy between them was the number of bonds formed or broken
c)The atoms of the metal increased their average kinetic energy; and the discrepancy between them was due to the heat capacity of the metals.
D)The atoms of the metals increased their potential energy; and the discrepancy between them was due to the different heat capacities of the metals
