One of the goals of this experiment is to show the molar ratio of Mg / O is 1. Almost all students when conducting this experiment will determine this to be greater than 1. Will the following error lead to a Mg / O molar ratio greater than 1 or less than 1? Error: The reaction was not heated long enough, and as a consequence not all of the magnesium reacted.
