What type of reaction is described in the following scenario:A white solid called sodium carbonate was placed into a test tube and heated over a bunsen burner. At first it looked very similar to salt, but was stark white. As it heated up, you could see condensation forming on the tube, and the sodium carbonate changed to a solid white chunk. To test if there was any carbon dioxide present, a match was lit and placed inside the tube. It immediately was extinguished, indicating that carbon dioxide was present. Meaning that the sodium carbonate changed into sodium oxide and released carbon dioxide.
