Explanation:

Sodium is known to be a metal that is silvery-white and waxy in appearance. The metal is bright and shiny especially when it is cut. It can be cut with a knife due to it soft nature. It is reactive and has low melting point. It actually reacts with water to form sodium hydroxide.

Hydrogen chloride (known to be hydrochloric acid) is a transparent and colorless substance. It is used in manufacturing plastics, textile,  fertilizers, etc. The concentrated hydrogen chloride is very corrosive.
