Compound A, C7H14, decolorizes (reacts with) Br2 in CCl4 and also reacts with BH3.THF followed by H2O2 and NaOH to give compound B. When treated with KMnO4 followed by H3O , compound B is oxidized to a carboxylic acid, compound C, that can be resolved into enantiomers. Compound A, after ozonolysis-reduction gives two products, one of while is the same compound, compound D, as is formed by the oxidation of hexan-3-ol with Na2Cr2O7 and H2SO4. Give the structure for compounds A, B, C, and D. Use the Question 30 Answer Sheet for your answer. Each structure is worth 4 points.
