Kinetic energy is energy of motion. The kinetic energy of an object is dependent on two variables, speed and mass and can be represented by the formula:

Sammie is speeding done the road in his race car. Sammie passes one car after another. Sammie has more kinetic energy than the
cars he is passing. He pulls up to a BIG truck and the two are traveling neck and neck down the highway. Is there any difference in
the kinetic energy of the truck and Sammie's car? Explain.
