If all objects that have mass also have gravity, Why doesn't your pencil orbit around you or get pulled towards you while it sits on the desk?

There is no mode of action of force given by me to the pencil , therefore this is the reason behind my pencil not getting pulled towards me while sitting on the desk.

Explanation:

Based on their mass and their distance apart, gravity is a force of attraction between objects. Gravity doesn't drag other things against me because either I didn't offer my force or I did an action.

Any object in the universe that has mass exerts on every other mass a gravitational pull, or force. The size of the pull is dependent on the objects' masses. You exert a gravitational force on the people around you, but it's not a very effective force, because it's not a very large force.

Hence , without any exertion of force given by me , the pencil will not get pulled towards me.
