A man says that he has gained weight and can no longer fit into some of his clothes. Instead of exercising, he claims that he needs to go to the Moon. He reasons that he will weigh less there and thus fit into his clothes again. Aside from the fact that it is impractical to travel to the Moon, what is wrong with the manâs argument? Be sure to define mass and weight in your response.
