A chemical change results from a chemical reaction while a physical change is when matter changes forms. In other words, a chemical change produces a new substance, and a physical change does not. For example, a chemical change includes burning, cooking, rusting and rotting, among many others. An example of a physical change includes boiling, melting, freezing, and shredding. Usually, physical changes can be undone while chemical changes cannot. The only way to reverse a chemical change is by creating another chemical reaction.
