Ok so we had a lab and my teacher is currently unavailable right now and im mildly confused. we put sodium hydrogen carbonate into a test tube over a flame and lit a splint and stuck it into the mouth of the test tube. we also had to stick a piece of cobalt chloride testing strip into the mouth as well ( to test for moisture and or water vapor) which there was. anyways, we have to come up with a chemical equation for this reaction and the best thing i can come up with is nahco3. i have no clue where to go from here if you can i greatly appreciate
