Consider the example of copper and aluminum. we are holding same amount of copper and aluminium in hand separately. Both the sample were at 0°C.

specific heat capacity of copper = 0.385 J/g. °C

specific heat capacity of aluminium = 0.902 J/g. °C

copper will absorb the heat very quickly and raise the temperature in very less time as compare to aluminium, and reached to the our body temperature first. While aluminium has higher heat capacity it take more time to reach to our body temperature.
