Areversible cycle executed by 1 mol of an ideal gas for which cp=(5/2)r and cv=(3/2)r consists of the following steps operated in a piston and cylinder arrangement:
a) starting at 600 k and 2 bar, the gas is cooled at constant pressure to 300 k.
b) from 300 k and 2 bar, the gas is compressed isothermally to 4 bar.
c) the gas returns to its initial state along a path for which the product pt is constant.
draw the cycle with each step clearly labeled on both a p-t diagram and a p-v diagram. calculate q, w, and δu for each step of the cycle.
