Water is the most essential element that is required by all living organisms. This water on earth exists in all the three states, namely solid, liquid and gas. The temperature is the main factor that describes if a water is present in any of the three forms.

When water is heated at a temperature of 100°C, it evaporates and changes into water vapor. This is the gaseous state of water and this process of transformation of water from liquid to gaseous state is known as the evaporation process.

When water is frozen at a temperature of 0°C, then it freezes and forms ice. This is the solid state of water.

When water has a temperature between 0 to 100°C then , it exist in the state of liquid.
