The wastewater from a chemical plant manufacturing sulphuric acid was thought to be contaminated with cadmium. a 25 ml. aliquot of the water was adjusted to ph 5 and an ion selective and saturated calomel reference electrode was placed in the solution. the potential difference between the electrodes was-0.110 v after addition of 5.00 ml of a 3.40 x 103 m cd" standard, the potential difference was-0.104 v. calculate the concentration in ppm of cd2 in the wastewater sample.
