100 points! proteins are very versatile molecules. they can make other reactions happen, they make up our muscles, they control things like our blood sugar, they carry things like oxygen, they can be flexible like our hair or tough like our fingernails. proteins are made of amino acids. the order of the amino acids determine what kind of protein it will be, just like the letters of the alphabet can form different words the order of the amino acids makes different proteins. our bodies can not make amino acids. we eat protein and they are broken down to get amino acids. they the amino acids are put together in the right order to make the proteins our bodies need to function. we often call amino acids the building blocks of proteins. for this assignment: research these 3 types of proteins that make up different structure in our bodies or do specific jobs in out bodies.
