Rating scales method is most commonly used to evaluate employee performance. This method is used in all big companies,  brands, and universities colleges. The rating starts from 01 and ends to 10. Employee performance is evaluated in defined subjects depends on the nature of a job. For example behavior towards superior, management, colleagues and customers satisfaction, duty concern, regularity on a job.

In this performance appraisal method employee is assessed by his superiors or higher management and sometimes by customers, depends all on the nature of the job. Appraiser is a person who appraises the traits. An employee who gets more numbers is top in performance, descending  numbers employee is considered as a low performer and 1 scored employee is considers as non-performer.
