Boehm Corporation has had stable earnings growth of 5% a year for the past 10 years, and in 2015 Boehm paid dividends of $2.7 million on net income of $10.0 million. However, in 2016 earnings are expected to jump to $13 million, and Boehm plans to invest $7 million in a plant expansion. This one-time unusual earnings growth won't be maintained, though, and after 2016 Boehm will return to its previous 5% earnings growth rate. Its target debt ratio is 35%. Calculate Boehm's total dividends for 2016 under each of the following policies. Enter your answers in dollars. For example: $2.9 million should be entered as $2,900,000. Do not round intermediate calculations. Round your answers to the nearest dollar.
1. Its 2016 dividend payment is set to force dividends to grow at the long-run growth rate in earnings. $ fill in the blank 2 $3,640,000
2. It continues the 2015 dividend payout ratio. $ fill in the blank 3 $4,550,000
3. It uses a pure residual policy with all distributions in the form of dividends (35% of the $14.4 million investment is financed with debt). $ fill in the blank 4 $16,640,000
4. It employs a regular-dividend-plus-extras policy, with the regular dividend being based on the long-run growth rate and the extra dividend being set according to the residual policy. How much will the extra dividend be?

This problem has been solved! see the answerwhich of the following statements is correct? the consumer price index is a measure of the overall level of prices, whereas the gdp deflator is not a measure of the overall level of prices. if, in the year 2011, the consumer price index has a value of 123.50, then the inflation rate for 2011 must be 23.50 percent. compared to the gdp deflator, the consumer price index is the more common gauge of inflation. the consumer price index and the gdp deflator reflect the goods and services bought by consumers equally well.
