As we look at solutions/ answers for any disaster condition, we should consider the cost and sustainability. This includes materials and workforce, the latter of which is the most important part. We can train people to maintain a system, but attrition is always a factor. This said, with the solution of cameras or surveillance, we have to ask about the sustainability of that part. Many cities outsource that work as they realize that the layers needed to sustain that system cannot be handled by many governmental systems. What would be the public health role in this kind of system and its sustainability
