In the first Project in the Unit, you created a list of expenses and created your own budget. The list of expenses will help you determine the type of career you'll need to be able to afford the lifestyle you created for yourself. For this Project, you'll need to research jobs that have an average income that meets or exceeds the amount of your monthly expenses. Next, determine the job skills you’ll need to obtain employment in that career area. Will you need to go to college, or a career technical school? If so, what do you need to do now to help assure your ability to work in that field in the future? The purpose of this exercise is to give you an idea of what it will take for you to reach your future financial goals. Many people have big dreams about the type of houses they will live in or the cars that they will drive, but they haven’t considered the work they’ll need to do to have that lifestyle. Once you’ve determined a career field that you are interested in and that you believe will help you to meet your financial goals, create a Presentation that that outlines what you need to do to meet your career and financial objectives. Be sure to give specific examples and explain what it will take to get a job in the field at a level that will meet your financial goals.
