MIS 150, Inc. is a medium size financial service company located in Sacramento City. MIS 150 offers selling/buying stocks and bonds to its customers. MIS 150 hires competent, careful and hardworking brokers to perform the selling/buying transactions for customers. The management likes to have instant summary business information regarding customers, brokers, stocks, and bonds. The broker likes to track his/her sales, customers, stocks and bonds for improving sales volume and offering better customer services. The customer likes to have an instant report for his/her profits and the information of every stock and bond. A. Develop an external level of three user views (one for the top management, one for the broker and one for the customer) in terms of customer information, performance of the stock and bond, broker’s sales and profit information
B. Combine the three users’ external views into the conceptual level of one logical structure with appropriate relations and corresponding attributes for the MIS 150 database.
C. Translate the conceptual level into the internal level via stating the most appropriate file organization for sequential and direct access methods and indicating attribute(s) to be indexed for quick searching and reporting of each relation. That can facilitate the information needed by the top management, broker and customer.
