Under one of the acts of the Parliament, enacted in 1986, every consumer has been given the right to be protected against goods and services which are hazardous to life and health. The legislation also enforces providing complete information about the product to the consumer and has given freedom to the consumer to purchase goods of his/her choice. However, in certain cases, an individual is not considered to be a consumer by the law and hence cannot seek remedies available under the law. a) Identify the legislation referred to above.
