Select Section 1 – Domestic Product and Income

Click on Table 1.1.6 Real Gross Domestic Product, Chained Dollars (A) (Q)

To find the tables for 2005 and 2006, click the MODIFY and enter 2006 in the Last Year box and 2005 in the First Year box and make sure that Quarterly is checked, then Refresh Table.

Find the annual levels of real GDP and real consumption for 2005 and 2006. Did consumption increase more rapidly or less rapidly in percentage terms than real GDP? Discuss in detail and use examples to support your argument.
