Discreet and clearly separated advertising links on web pages should be accepted by most. However, advertising that interferes with internet use is often perceived as unpleasant and is combated partly by avoiding visiting and linking to pages containing such advertisements and partly by allowing web browsers or intermediate servers to filter out such content.
