Cooling system is very energy intensive in data centers, taking up to 40% of the total data center energy consumption. a common approach to improving cooling system energy efficiency is to increase the supply air temperature. meanwhile, keeping server inlet temperature within a safety range (i. e., 65f and 81f) is crucial for maintaining data center uptime. therefore, when allocating workloads to servers and increasing the supply air temperature setpoint, the data center operator must also ensure that all the server inlet temperature is below the safety threshold.
