Explanation: The parole evidence rule is an Anglo - American common law that determines what type of evidence can be brought forward when determining certain terms of an agreement (or contract). This rule basically states that once an agreement is finalised in writing between parties, then any evidence brought up against this agreement, whether it be orally or in writing, cannot change or add to the terms of the final exsisting contract (agreement) already drawn up.
