When the pharyngeal tonsil is enlarged, clinicians refer to it as Tonsillitis.  It refers to inflammation of the pharyngeal tonsils, It is found at the back of the throat, which can be seen through the mouth. It is usually due to a viral infection or, less commonly, a bacterial infection. 

To see a general view of a microscope slide, use low power. to see a more specific and detailed view, use high power.
